I'm Back!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!
I know it's been years since my last post. I've been so busy with everything I'm surprised I have my head on straight! It feels good to be back and trying to get my life back to it's usual routine.
How is every ones holiday planning going? I'm pretty much done with decorating, gift wrapping and card sending. I'm planning on baking this Saturday. I fell really far behind this season with all the prep work.
I've been sewing up a storm for gifts and party dress for may daughter. Making warm sleep pants for kids and planning on making some for sister-in-law.
I hope you all have a great and wonderful Christmas with awesome memories.

Happy Birthday To Me!!

Yes! It's my Birthday and unlike some, I look forward to it every year. Just like a kid does. I'm 35 today and feel like 25. My wonderful hubby sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. It's huge!!! I can see all the ladies here at work are a bit jealous, Hee hee!

I'll be going home early today and I'm not sure what I'll be doing with my time. I'm like a kid in a toy story who was just told they can get anything they want! Maybe a movie, or sewing time, or editing my photos, or just sitting on the sofa and watch a classic movie. What to do, what to do....

My sister gave me a Karaoke machine and it's been a blast to have. Even the kids are getting into it. I've ordered more CDs and I'll be rockin this weekend! (I don't have a singing voice), but if when you are driving and notice a lady really getting into the music and singing, that is probably me. I love to sing! Maybe I'll invest into singing lessons. Christmas maybe?
How do you celebrate your Birthdays? Is there a tradition you and your family have?

I'v been busy with work!

I know it's no excuse but I really was. Now the work week is slowing down, so am I. I'm finding it hard to stay awake here at work. Is there such thing as getting too much sleep? Some say there is, but the majority say the more the merrier. I sometimes wish we had 2 extra hours in a day. Then maybe I can get some of my sewing projects finished and/or started.

If you haven't been to this really cool web site Burdastyle.com you have to check it out. Every week on Mondays they have great patterns for free or you can purchase them for really cheep. This weeks free patterns it a mans sport jacket. I think it would make a great addition to any women's wardrobe. The pattern number is 6026.
The good thing about being a women it that we can get away with wearing men's clothing. I don't know about you, but sometimes there is nothing like putting on a great pair of jeans, white T and a blazer.
Let me know what part of a men's wardrobe you like to wear the most.

The love of shoes

Who can resist these beauties? I have a love/hate relationship with shoes, (I love them, they hate me). As a little girl I would want to have 3 pairs of shoes; one for the morning, one for the afternoon, and one for the evening. My mother had a great collection of very high heels. Just like all little girls, I would try them on and pretend I was all grown up. I couldn't wait for the day I could spend a whole paycheck on shoes. I'm still waiting for that day. I just can't work myself up to it. These beauties are $695.00. I think I would rather spend that on new camera equipment. But I still so want these, but not for the price. I know, you get what you payed for. But they are designer shoes and you're just really paying for the name.

So what do you think of these? Aren't they simply yummy?! I love the way heels make your whole leg look. Very long, very lean, and very sexy! You even walk with a certain confidence in heels. When I'm feeling a little blue, I put on a pair of heals and they instantly make me happy. :o)
Are you a shoe-aholic? Tell me your obsssion stories.

I want to be in OZ...

"I'm off to see the Wizard, The wonderful Wizard of OZ." As a little girl I would dream I was one of the munchins in the movie. To be able to meet Dorothy and play with Toto. I loved the costumes and the great colors on the sets. My cousins and I would act out the movie.
When I knew the movie was coming out on t.v., I would have it marked on the calendar and I would have a count-down with my friends at school. Life was so simple and easy back then.
Now I get to watch it everyday if I like, thanks to DVD's. I've always wanted my daughter to dress up as Dorothy for Halloween, but she wouldn't have it. She want's to be a fairy. One day maybe she'll let me. (I can dream)
If it's been a while since you have seen The Wizared of Oz, it's time to revisit it and remember how it made you feel when you were a kid.

The most productive day of the work week...

So they say. But I find it to be the day I would rather sit at a park bench and feel the breeze on my face. Or people watch at the mall. I thinks it's time for a vacation. Where will be go today... how about New Zealand? It's one of the places I want to visit before I'm to old to walk. What is a place you would love to visit before it's to late?

Start of a new week!

Most people don't like Monday's but they really aren't so bad. It's a way to start new. You see your friends, have lunch, and not have to worry about getting a baby sitter.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I sure did!

I'm still working on my projects and have some finishing touched to add. I'm hoping to post them by the end of this week.

TTFN!

Friday is my favorite day...

Happy Friday to all!!

I have such big plans for this much needed weekend. I'll be waking up early and start sewing till I can't sew no more. I might come up for air and eat, and tap the kids on the head. I told my hubby not to expect me to be a mom because it won't be in my vocabulary this weekend. I won't answer to Babe, Honey, or mom. I hope to make at least 3 creations. The Holidays are quickly approaching and I have big plans for the last half of the year.

I see lots of great creations on Burdastyle and it gets my mind going. There is still a lot I need to learn and I'm hoping I can have it all down when my daughter starts to request clothing that looks like it came from a magazine. And maybe some day I'll be able to make her wedding dress, if she wants to marry, no pressure.

Well I wish everyone a great, happy, and safe weekend!! See yah all on Monday...

The first of many...

Hello everyone!!! This is all new to me. I'm not sure what I would like to take from blogging about my day. But I hope to express myself in another medium and to maybe make new contacts in this great blue world of ours.
I'll most likely post some of my creations and talk about everything and anything that tickles my fancy.

I look forward to see what everyone has to say. Have a great and wonderful day!!

(by the way, I'm always cheery and positive.)
